"We want nothing to do with you! Get out!" A ragged ginger tom said menacingly, curling his lip back in a snarl. A black tom, one that seemed to be the leader, swept the red tom back with a swish of his tail.
"Get back, Copper. This has nothing to do with you." His piercing blue eyes didn't bother to look at his companion, and he stepped forward with confidence. "I'm listening, but that doesn't mean I'm interested." He said, a low growl sound deep in his throat. "Go on."
"Good. I'm sure you will be pleased with my offer."

Sunlight peaked through the cracks of the warriors den, glaring light down on the sleeping cats. Goldenbreeze began to stir, slowly opening her eyes to slits of green. I better go get the patrols ready... She thought, but then remembered all of the events that had happened. Oh, yes... I forgot... I'm not the Clan deputy anymore... Sadness filled her gaze when she remembered that she wasn't appointed as the new deputy, and confusion on why that was clouded her mind. No, I wasn't dwell on that... She thought, and pricked her ears when Icestar started to call a meeting, thankfully using the correct words this time.
"Cats of OakClan! I want you to welcome someone who has been with us for many moons. In secret, of course." He meowed before murmurs of confusion swept throughout the crowd. "She goes by the name of Amber of Burning Fire, but is simply called as Amber. Though she excels at many things, she will be joining the Warrior's Den. He nodded to Blueflower. "I hope you have enough time to teach her our ways, if you do not mind." The blue she-cat nodded, and he bowed his head gratefully.
Taking a deep breath, he continued. "Now, while on my journey back from the Moon Pool, I ran into the rogues." Stunned silence met his words, and questions like how did he survive rang throughout the clearing. "We discussed certain things, and he gave me a preposition." Three cats stepped out of the shadows. The hefty black tom that had defeated Cloudstar, his eyes filled with malice, and his two companions, or servants, more like. "And we agreed that together, we can make each other stronger. They have agreed to join OakClan."

Amber pricked her eyes at the sound of voices coming outside the prey-hunter's den. No wait, the apprentice's den... Or was it the warrior's den? These Clan cats are too confusing! Groggily getting up, she realized it was Jet hissing to Icestar.
"Hurry up! I have to talk to you." His meow was dark and thick. It made Amber shudder whenever she heard him. Why are they here so early? Usually Jet only sends over his cats at sun-high or something.
For the past 2 moons, Jet has been sending over his rogues to help and clear out duties here. At first, it was only every other day or so, but then it started to become almost like a routine, and the cats got used to seeing them. Though Amber could tell they weren't fully settled with having outsiders lurk in every corner, and she saw most cats send glares their way. Though she disliked their crow-food type of scent, she still felt sorry for them. She knew what it felt like to be an outsider. Usually the rogues would stay away from the Clan cats, except for the occasionally one or two of them that said "hi". Amber also liked to hunt with one she-cat, named Scarlet. She was new to Jet's group, but she insisted he was the best leader to have. I wonder if I'll see her today...
Snapping back into reality, she focused more on the voices.
"Okay, okay I'm coming. Calm down!" Hissed Icestar with his edgy meow.
"Good. I have something important to tell you. Copper and Cliff are with me." Amber saw him whip around and dart into the forest, with Icestar in pursuit. Curiosity getting the best of her, Amber slowly slunk out of the den, and into the forest.

"Well, why did you bring me here?" Icestar meowed in annoyance, flicking a raindrop off of his ear.
"I have news. Good news." Jet meowed, seeming quite pleased with himself.
"Alright, get on with it." Icestar growled, and Copper curled his lip, but was hushed with Icestar whipped his head around, hissing menacingly.
"If I may continue." Jet meowed darkly, and Icestar nodded. "I have gladly disposed of the ones called Hawkeye and Sparkfire." Utter silence met his words, and Amber held her breath. Hawkeye and Sparkfire, two of the most respected cats in the Clan!
"You did what?" Icestar snarled, standing up, staring face to face with Jet. Cliff and Copper began to step forward, but Jet sent them back with a flick of his tail.
"They were weak." He spat, disgusted. "You should have seen this as a favor!"
"What? Killing two of my loyal warriors? No, Jet. I want you out of here!" The leader curled his lip, lashing his tail. Amber widened her eyes, expecting Jet to lash out and claw her leader. She almost thought she saw fear in the black tom's eyes, but if she did, it was gone in a second.
"No, no, no, Icestar. Don't you see what I have done? I have made this Clan stronger! Without them, we won't have to waste our herbs on their sickness. We'll have more for what is to come, don't you see?" Icestar seemed to relax, though hatred burned in his eyes.
"I-I suppose... But will I tell my Clan?" Icestar meowed, his shoulders sagging.
"That's easy! They were already sick, just say they were too frail to recover. I'll send two more of my recruits to fill in their spots. See? Now all you have to do is forget about this. Oh, and I think you know who the new deputy will be already." He said slyly, nodding to his two comrades, as they stalked out of the small clearing, and back to their own camp. Icestar stayed in his exact spot, as if he was frozen. Whipping around, Amber sprang back into camp, still not able to process what she heard.

Amber pressed her ear's flat against her head as she heard Stoneheart's yowl of anguish as Icestar announced the death of his friend and once deputy. His voice heavy, Icestar carried on. "And the new deputy will be Jet, may StarClan hear and approve my choice..." His voice faltered, and he looked dazed. The Clan cats halfheartedly cheered, and went to say good-bye to their old clanmates. Amber looked around wildly for Scarlet, and spotted her about to go out of camp. "Scarlet!" She hissed, running up to her friend. "I have to talk to you. Alone." Alarmed, her friend agreed and they met in the same place Jet and Icestar did, the memories still haunting her.
"I-I overheard something..." Amber began carefully, but began to blurt it all out, of how she followed and heard everything. Nervously, she looked up, and saw Scarlet's face of pure confusion.
"B-But how? Amber, Jet would never do that... Never. I'm sure you should heard him wrong. He was probably just telling Icestar the news of their deaths, that's all. Why don't we go hunting., to get your mind off of things?" Amber looked at her friend skeptically, and saw that there was more in her eyes. Maybe Scarlet just doesn't want to admit it.. She thought sadly, and nevermore had she wanted to be back at home, training as a StarTeller than to be here.
(Blah, I think somehow, Crescentpelt needs to be killed off. I never play him.)
ReplyDeleteFallenpath frowned at Icestar and then her gaze swept across the rogues in camp. She had no reason to mistrust them, yet something was nagging at her mind. Perhaps it was the strong feeling of wrongness she got as Icestar made Jet his deputy. Something about the black tom made her want to cringe. Fallenpath shook her head, padding out into the forest to gather some herbs. I hope Icestar knows what he's doing, she thought heavily.
~Fallenpath
Birdpaw's ears twitched. She didn't mind the rogues in camp, though they did make her a little twitchy. They were helpful enough with the hunting, and perhaps she could make friends with one. Icestar made a great choice, she thought.
~Birdpaw
As Amber padded beside Scarlett, she had a feeling of uncertainty. More than anything she wanted to talk to Icestar. Maybe she could make him see sense? Everything about Jet seemed wrong and dark. The ashy gray she-cat looked over her shoulder sadly. Its not my place..But I'm a StarTeller for the ancestors sake! But...I don't know anything about their ways and how can I even call myself that when I ran away...like a coward. Again, like so many times, she was reminded of her true home with the tribe and great grief fell upon her. Amber shook her head, wanting anything to get such thoughts out of it, and began to walk a little faster. "Scent anything?" She tried to sound casual.
ReplyDelete(Killing kitties is my specialty xP I'll find a way to do it soon)
ReplyDelete"Meh. Just squirrels. I hate squirrels." Scarlet meowed, rushing on with her words whenever she felt she was out of place, or uncomfortable.
"Good." Jet meowed gruffly. "Now, my first order of business will be battle training. We don't want anyone stirring trouble with us, yes?" He laughed, though not a normal, friendly one. It sounded eerie and unwelcoming. "I'm sure we will all have plenty to learn from each other. I'll take a group one after another, so we'll have enough for all day. Anyone can come in the first round!" His cheerful attitude gave him sideways glances, and only a few cats volunteered to go first. Mostly rogues, but some Clan cats. "Good. First, I'll show you how to go for the eyes in a fight, a good way to blind your opponent and get the upper-paw." Cats could hear him meow as he lead their way into the forest.
Shadowsplash was especially enthusiastic to train. She followed Jet with a curious look on her face.
ReplyDeleteHer kits watched helplessly as she left.
Amber flicked an ear. "Squirrel is better than nothing." She tried to pinpoint the smell.
"I suppose." Scarlet muttered under her breath. As her gaze traveled over the leaf-strewn forest, until she spotted a furry, bush-tailed creature. "Over there!" She hissed quietly, jerking her head in the squirrel's direction. "Want to see who can get it first?" She mrrowed with laughter.
ReplyDelete"Cliff, Copper, come here." Jet instructed his two followers, who easily obeyed. "Fight." He ordered, and the two launched at each other like ravenous foxes. To some of the cats astonishment, their claws were unsheathed, and they could already see scarlet drops splattering Copper's ginger fur. In a matter of seconds, Copper had managed to pin Cliff to the forest floor, despite his size. "Stop!" Jet barked, and the cats froze, remaining in their positions. "Even though Cliff could have easily avoided this from happening, what can he do to counterattack?" Many answers were shouted back at him, though he was only looking for one. "Yes, go for the eyes!" He said, nodding to the cat who yowled it. "Now pair up and practice this moves. And no holding back! Gauge their eyes out if you have to. Fallenpath can treat them later." He said scathingly, abruptly turning away to watch the training exercise.
Mistyfur saw their helpless looks and smiled,"Why don't you kits practice your hunter's crouch?"She suggested.
ReplyDeleteBlueflower watched Jet leave with the others frowning. She didn't like him one bit.I hope Icestar didn't make a mistake making him deputy. She thought padding over to Icestar and she smilling sadly."How are you Icestar?"She asked knowing that it couldn't be easy being clan leader with the rogues around.
Shadowsplash looked around for a partner. (I don't know who followed)
ReplyDeleteRavenkit nodded solemnly. She was more than used to taking orders, and showed the gray Queen a nearly perfect crouch. Shadowsplash had made her practice it almost every night in the old territory.
Clawkit gave a disdainful sniff. "I'd rather not." He did enough training yesterday. His shoulder still stung, and he rolled it painfully.
Ravenkit blinked at the Queen. "Would you show me how?" He asked kindly. The black tom knew very well how to do the crouch, but was eager to get to know someone in Oakclan. No one has really spoken to us...
Amber gave a friend a little shove before bolting toward the squirrel. Her paws felt clumsy, and she found the tiny creature extremely fast. Her ashy fur bristled with frustration as of shot up a tree. She looked at Scarlet with embarrassment. "Sorry..." Again she was reminded what a stranger she is in Oakclan.
(Sorry that I've been inactive :( I'm on my school's high school hockey team and it's been really filling up my schedule! I'll try my best to stay active!)
ReplyDeleteGoldenbreeze trailed off into the forest by herself, following the scent of Jet. They came into a clearing and she saw how vicious Copper and Cliff were to each other. Her eyes widened and she felt like she had to do something about this. She then heard Jet say to attack for the eyes and that Fallenpath can treat to them later. She stepped into the clearing and watched her clan mates attack each other. "This is wrong. We shouldn't be battle training with our claws unsheathed and can claw out each other's eyes," she meowed to Jet, loud enough so her clan mates could hear her defending them.
--Goldenbreeze
Stormfang looked at a few rouges in OakClan camp. Sure, maybe they were strong and healthy, but it didn't seem right of Icestar to do this. He didn't support Icestar in his decision of letting the rouges join OakClan; especially Jet. Stormfang already has a grudge on him.
--Stormfang
(Maybe Stormfang can get killed by not following Jet's orders? I don't roleplay him that much :( )
Dragonpaw was battle training, and he picked Cliff to fight. Sure, he was much larger than Dragonpaw, but Dragonpaw wanted to show Jet all that he had. He was about to leap at him but stopped when Goldenbreeze arrived, saying that this wasn't right. He turned to Jet, wondering how he would react.
--Dragonpaw
(Copper can be Shadowsplash's partner, Prim :3 Sure, if you want, Amber ^^ Jet doesn't mind /shot/ cx)
ReplyDeleteCopper yanked his heard toward Shadowsplash. "Let's see what you got, Queen." He rasped, though he stopped and eyed Goldenbreeze suspiciously. "Well, well... Isn't it OakClan's former deputy." He sneered, lashing his tail.
Cliff was about to bark at Dragonpaw for pausing, but pricked his ears at the sound of Copper's and Goldenbreeze's meow. "What's happening here?" He said slyly, padding up to Jet's shoulder.
Without looking at them, Jet brushed Cliff away with a sweep of his tail. His eyes narrowed to slits, he padded up to Goldenbreeze. "Excuse me, but I don't think that's a way to speak to your Clan deputy. And furthermore, I am the one leading this training exercise. And what use is it to sheath your claws? This way the cats know what to expect when they are fighting. Or would you rather they not be prepared?" He meowed, loud enough for everyone to hear. Without taking his gaze off the former deputy, he yowled, "Continue with the session." Over his shoulder.
Goldenbreeze sent Copper a glare, before looking back at Jet. "I care for the health of my clan; we can't risk getting injured over training," she shot back. "They know that cats will unsheath their claws in battle, but we can't lower the health of OakClan cats." She looked at all of the cats in this training session. "OakClan would be prepared even if they train with their claws sheathed."
ReplyDelete--Goldenbreeze
Dragonpaw caught Goldenbreeze's glance and looked down at his paws. He was torn between Jet and Goldenbreeze. They were both right in many ways. Goldenbreeze has been in OakClan longer, while Jet was an outsider but was very strong and he knew a lot about his battle techniques.
--Dragonpaw
Mistyfur smiled."Alright.Watch carefuly."She mewed. She crouched down low,her belly fur barely touching the ground. Her tail hovering motionlessly just above ground.Ever so quietly she moved one paw after another forward. After a couple paw steps she stood up and smiled."There, you see?Noughthing to it.You try now."She mewed encouriginly. She glanced over at Badgerkit and blinked in surprise."Badgerkit that's great! If you keep it up you'll be the best huntress in the clan!"She purred kindly. She looked back at Ravenkit to watch him practice.
ReplyDeleteA little further away,Echokit and Toadkit prancticed their fighting with sheathed claws.Rainkit was the older kits curiously.
Shadowsplash hissed at Copper, then turned to Goldenbreeze. She bared her teeth and hissed. "Maybe this is why Icestar didn't choose you for Deputy."
DeleteBadgerkit looked at the Queen and brightened a little. "You really think so?"
Ravenkit copied her, purposefully tripping over his own paws. "This is hard!" His amber eyes gleamed with delight.
"Because I don't care for the sake of OakClan?!" Goldenbreeze shot back a hiss to Shadowsplash, defending herself.
ReplyDelete--Goldenbreeze
(I don't know if I said that right or wrong.. but she's defending herself lol XD)
"Your holding Oakclan back!" The dark calico padded up beside Jet. "Jet has given this clan a wonderful opportunity. He will make us stronger."
ReplyDeleteMistyfur laughed softly,"Keep trying Ravenkit, that was a good atempt.Your crouch was good, just watch your paws next time."She mewed encouragingly, her eyes twinckling with amusement.Still smilling she turns tawards Badgerkit."Yes i do,i've never seen a kit master the hunters crouch at your age! It's almost perfect.I bet you've practised hard to get so good at it."She mewed.
ReplyDeleteJet nodded gratefully towards Shadowsplash, his eyes glinting malevolently. "Maybe you should stop turning your head on what your clanmates really think. I'm doing what's best for them, and they agree." He turned around to the rest of the group. "Or does anyone have a problem with this that they would like to address?" He tilted his head, looking friendly, but his eyes held an icy look.
ReplyDeleteCopper narrowed his eyes at Shadowsplash, but began to focus on Goldenbreeze again, hatred burning in his gaze.
(Sorry! I forgot to reply to Blueflower. Sorry Echo!)
ReplyDeleteIcestar eyed the she-cat suspiciously. "Why? Is there something wrong?" He challenged, but he answered anyway. "I'm fine. Jet has been a real help to the Clan, thankfully. He's a good cat, and we'll all be able to learn something from him." He meowed, nodding curtly.
Shadowsplash straightened up, her thick tail curling. She waited for any protests against Jet.
ReplyDeleteRavenkit blinked up at Mistyfur happily. "Can you show me anything else?" The little black tom bounced a little.
Badgerkit sat, feeling for once proud. "The best huntress in the clan?" The little calico puffed out her chest.
Clawkit had snuck away into the Nursery. He watched his siblings solemnly.
Dragonpaw looked at his paws and didn't dare to raise his gaze. He couldn't decide between the two.
ReplyDelete--Dragonpaw
Goldenbreeze looked around and her eyes widened at how no one stood up against Jet. "You all are mouse brains," she hissed. "Cloudstar would of taken my side," she glared at Jet.
--Goldenbreeze
