"Oh? So the old tom is still alive?" A cat sneered and as Cloudstar slowly opened his eyes, he saw a face peering down on him, the eyes icy and unfriendly. "I thought I had you beat." The black tom said flatly, as if he didn't care if the leader lived or not. He released his paw from Cloudstar's chest, but warned him not to try anything with a low, menacing growl. He turned to the rest of the cats who had stopped fighting after their leader had lost a life. "You cats are done here." He snarled. "It is our turn to move in to this territory." Many hisses were delivered to the jet black tom, but he only gazed back with triumphed in his eyes. "We have won your land fairly. Now we will give you a half-moon to move elsewhere, or this won't be last time you have seen us." Flicking his tail, the rogues separated themselves from the clan cats and followed there leader into the dense undergrowth. The Clan stood still for a few moments, shock, bewilderment, and defeat in their eyes. What now? They wanted to all say, though no one spoke a word. Cloudstar stayed where he was, shame hanging over him like a cloud. Cats glanced over at Cloudstar, worry and panic in their eyes.
"What will we do?"
"We can't leave!"
"Great StarClan... How could this happen?!" Were some of the yowls that broke out, until Goldenbreeze was able to calm them, for now.
"I want two patrols to go out hunting, and for some cats to stay and fix up the dens that were trampled!" She ordered, and cats seemed glad to have someone telling them what to do.
Slowly, very slowly, he made his way over to the Medicine Cat den, where Fallenpaw was positioned outside with Goldenbreeze, as they exchanged worried whispers and glances. As they heard Cloudstar approach, Fallenpaw was the first to speak. "Cloudstar! I should take a look at your wounds..." Cloudstar flicked his tail at the young she-cat.
"Has everyone else been treated?" He asked, and Fallenpaw nodded. "Then I suppose..." His voice trailed off, and Fallenpaw scurried into the Medicine Cat den to get the herbs she needed. "Where is Goldfeather?" Cloudstar asked. "Certainly she hasn't left Fallenpaw to do all the work!" Goldenbreeze looked up from where she was staring at the ground, fear and sorrow clouding her eyes.
"Cloudstar... Goldfeather is dead. And so is Snowfall."

(Hi guys! I'm back! :D Sorry that this is a short post... I JUST got back from vacation, so it will take a while to get used to things. If you want your cat to die either of the sickness or the battle, just let me know in the comments, or you can RP their death or something. xD And I'm sorry DawnDragon, but my Clan needs an active Medicine Cat... Your other cats will remain sick for a little more time, but after about a week, they will have to go... So please come on and sort things out. Oh! And Stella, would you rather want Fallenpaw to be a full Medicine Cat or still be an apprentice?)
[Welcome back! :D
ReplyDeleteSparkfire has yet to join StarClan, but I have a plan for him, if it's okay with you.]
"Sparkfire!" Stoneheart screeched as he ran over to his best friend. The ginger tabby was laying completely still, but his flank was still moving. Stoneheart nosed the other tom and Sparkfire let out an annoyed hiss. "Stop that. I'm okay, I'm just weak from the sickness." That wasn't true, the ginger tabby was weak, but he knew it would only be a matter of time before he joined Snowfall and Goldfeather.
Snowpaw remained quiet, even when Firekit ran from the nursery and sat beside him. For once, the two held off their bickering.
Mistyfur stood outside the nursery, her tail wrapped around Echokit and toadkit protectivly. She looked tawards the nursery. Is it worth fixing it up,if we might move? She thought to herself.
ReplyDeleteBlueflower looked around to see where the hunting patrols were forming.
Dustpaw bounded over to Stoneheart and Sparkfire. He looked at his mentor worriedly and then up at Stoneheart."Is he ok?Do you want me to get the medecine cats?"He asked quickly.
Uncertain of what to do,Honeyfrost paded over to the elders den to help Squirrelfoot fix up the elders den.
Rainkit looked worriedly around the clearing from where she sat in the shadow of a bush.
Cloudstar's head spun. Snowfall.... dead? My Clan... Without a Medicine Cat... Again? He suddenly felt lightheaded, and he sunk down to the forest floor. Finally, he managed to croak out, "Iceshadow... Where is Iceshadow?" His eyes had a pleading look, as if he were begging that StarClan didn't take him too.
ReplyDeleteIceshadow sat in the leader's den, where Snowfall's body had been taken after the rogue's left. How could this happen...
Goldenbreeze lowered her ears, seeing Cloudstar all like this. "Cloudstar, you need to rest; I'll find Iceshadow," she offered. She tried to soothe the leader with her soft mew.
ReplyDelete--Goldenbreeze
Stormfang looked over at Cloudstar and sighed. He then remembered how he lost his family and how much grief he went through, like doing nothing but grieve. Cloudstar can't go through what I did.. we need him to lead the clan!
--Stormfang
Dragonpaw limped into the clearing, and saw chaos. He padded over to Blueflower. "Are you going to lead a patrol?"
--Dragonpaw
"I-I don't know," Stoneheart admitted as he looked down at the younger tom.
ReplyDelete"Are we leaving?" Firekit asked Snowpaw. Snowpaw answered with a shrug. He didn't know, and although he wasn't exactly sociable, he still thought of OakClan as his home.
Shadowsplash limped toward the Nursery, her darks eyes glittering with fury. She knew why they had lost. Cloudstar is weak. He was bound to be deafeted by the younger, stronger rouges; that wasnt what caused Oakclan to lose though. They gave up after their pathetic leader died. If they hadnt given up.... Shadowsplash briefly thought if her kits were okay, mostly if Clawkit was okay. "Clawkit! Ravenkit, Badgerkit!" She called to them in a cold tone. The three scurried out of the Nursery and lined infront of their mother uniformly.
ReplyDeleteClawkit gazed around camp numbly. For a kit, he had seen plenty of death, dispair, and shameful defeat. Even despite that the sight of his mother, looking at him with bloodthirtsty eyes, claws filled with crimson fur, wounds scarring her thick furred body, never ceased to send chills down his spine.
Badgerkit straightened up, oblivious to the pain around her. "Mom, you fought so well! I did exactly what you told me," The young calico-tabby preened. "I stayed in the Nursery and kept quiet, just like you told me to!" Shadowsplash looked past her daughter, Badgerkit not missing the glint of contempt in her eyes. She ducked her head in an awkward fashion, showing how crushed she felt.
Ravenkit saw the blood, and wounded cats. The black tom blinked sympathetic amber eyes. He wished he knew these cats better.
Rainkit stood up and paded into the clearing uncertain of what to do,now that the fighting was over.
ReplyDeleteBlueflower looked at Dragonpaw,"I supose i am,since i don't see anyone else getting one togeather but i don't think you should be hunting with that limp."She mewed.
Dustpaw looked at Sparkfire and then at Stoneheart."He's going to be ok, right?I mean,he's just tired from fighting.Right?"He asked.
Mistyfur bent down and licked each of her kits on the head comfortingly."It's alright little ones, the clan will make it throught this. You'll see."She purred reasuringly. She looked tawards Shadowsplash with a frown.Isen't she going to try to comfort her kits? She thought finding the other queen's cold tone strange.
Dragonpaw looked at his bad leg, and back up at Blueflower. "I'm not as bad as other clan members.. we'll need everyone we can get on a patrol," he defended himself. He just wanted to help out... everyone needs it.
ReplyDelete--Dragonpaw
Blueflower frowned but eventualy noded."Alright, but if gets worse let me know,ok?"She asked.
ReplyDeleteCloudstar shook his pelt and stood up. "No... I need to find him. Where is he? I need to see him," He said, breathlessly as he stood up. Before Goldenbreeze had a chance to argue, he added in, "Now." And began to pad around camp, looking more like a lost kit than a respected leader.
ReplyDeleteIceshadow pricked his ears at the sound of his father's calls. Oh no! He must have found out... He thought miserably as he listened to his father tone. "Cloudstar! I'm right here!" He meowed from the mouth of his den, and raced over to him, draping his tail across his shoulders, trying to comfort him.
Cloudstar let out a sigh of relief. "I thought... I lost you too." He said, his eyes blank.
Dragonpaw grinned happily and nodded, "Of course."
ReplyDelete--Dragonpaw
Stormfang stood up and padded over to Blueflower and Dragonpaw. "I'll join your little patrol if you don't mind."
--Stormfang
Goldenbreeze watched Cloudstar helplessly before padding up to Fallenpaw. "Do you want me to help you in any way possible?" she offered, because Goldfeather now walked amoung the path of StarClan.
--Goldenbreeze
Blueflower smiled and noded. She looked around someone else who didn't look to busy rebuilding dens or helping the wounded and sick.
ReplyDelete[Warriors101, I keep forgetting that Willowfeather is expecting. She can have her kits whenever, it's probably better now that Soulpaw and Steelpaw are apprenticed.]
ReplyDelete"I'm no medicine cat!" Stoneheart's usual calm snapped as he lashed out at the younger tom.
(Alright, thanks for letting me know ^^ Soryry if I dragged it out a bit too long, I just didn't want them to come too soon xD)
ReplyDeleteIceshadow nodded and waited until Cloudstar was calm. "You should be getting some rest." He murmured, and looked at his father's wounds. "After you see Fallenpaw, of course."
Cloudstar nodded, for once, not arguing. "Alright..." Images of Snowfall still flashed in his mind, and he was weak and unsteady on his feet.
(She can be made a full medicine cat. I think it would make an interesting storyline 'cause she's not quite ready, but she had to step up to the job. :P)
ReplyDeleteFallenpaw's eyes were wide and her breathing was quick. Goldfeather's dead...I can't believe it! I'm not ready! Fallenpaw bit back a wail, trying to appear strong and capable for her Clanmates.
-Fallenpaw
(Okay. Thanks!)
ReplyDeleteIceshadow, noticing his father being unstable, led him to the shade under the Oak Branch. "Here. Why did you lay here until Fallenpaw comes? I'll go see if she needs help with the herbs." He meowed, though Cloudstar didn't respond. With a sigh, he slowly made his way over to the Medicine Cat den, stopping just once to talk to Goldenbreeze. "Since Goldfeather is gone... What should we do about the position as full Medicine Cat? If Fallenpaw accepts, that would be great... But I don't think Cloudstar has the strength to make the ceremony." He stared expectantly at the Clan's deputy, waiting for her reply.
"I think Fallenpaw is strong and could pull the clan through as a full Medicine Cat," Goldenbreeze meowed to Iceshadow. "If Cloudstar is too weak to make a ceremony for her, maybe I could," she meowed a little quieter.
ReplyDelete--Goldenbreeze
[Oh, it's perfectly alright. It's sometimes odd when queens become pregnant and have their kits right away. That's also why I just made Steelkit and Soulkit apprentices. ]
ReplyDelete"Cloudstar," Snowpaw meowed quietly as he stepped up to his leader. "Is there anything we can do?"
Although Firekit normally would have protested, he did want to help. He didn't want to lose the only home he had, especially after getting used to everyone.
(Yeah, me too :P Thank you for the approval :D)
ReplyDeleteCloudstar looked at Snowpaw up and down, but then returned to staring at the sky, his eyes blank and wide, and he seemed very deep in thought.
Iceshadow nodded. "Yes. That would be best." He meowed. "I believe that it will be, a while, before Cloudstar is able to return to his duties." Iceshadow meowed, trouble rising in his chest. Will my father ever recover? "If you don't mind, will you ask Fallenpaw about it? I'm sure she would like a say in that." He meowed, and then saw Snowpaw trying to talk to Cloudstar. Giving a glance at Goldenbreeze, he trotted over. "Yes, there are plenty of things for you to do." He meowed, trying to distract them from Cloudstar. "Firekit, I'm sure you can help too. Why don't you ask Stormfang about rebuilding the dens? As for you, Snowpaw, why don't you ask your mentor to go out hunting? The fresh-kill pile needs restocking." He meowed.
Snowpaw bowed his head in reply to the older tom and then bounded off to look for Honeyfrost.
ReplyDelete"Okay," Firekit meowed and searched for Stormfang's familiar pelt.
[No problemo~ although you don't need my approval. ^-^]
Goldenbreeze padded back over to Fallenpaw. "Can we talk in private please?" she asked, glancing at Fallenpaw's patients lined up.
ReplyDelete--Goldenbreeze
Stormfang padded around, until he almost stumbled over Firekit. "Sorry about that!" he apoligized immediately. "Do you need anything?"
--Stormfang
Honeyfrost saw Snowpaw looking for her,and paused with helping Squirrelfoot."I'm over here Snowpaw!"She mewed.
ReplyDeleteMistyfur saw Rainkit looking around lost and called her over to help with fixing up the nursery.
"Okay," said Fallenpaw, her amber-green eyes wide. She padded towards the back of the den and swallowed, closing her eyes and taking a deep breath. Then she looked at Goldenbreeze, trying to appear calm and mature. "What can I help you with?"
ReplyDelete~Fallenpaw
Birdpaw shot a glance at her sister, not sure what to feel. So is she the full medicine cat, or what? she thought, feeling the stirrings of jealousy in her heart.
~Birdpaw
Crescentpelt glanced around and padded up to Honeyfrost and Snowpaw. "Can I join your patrol?"
~Crescentpelt
"Watch where you're going, mouse-brain!" Firekit snapped angerily as Stormfang stumbled over him. Although he wanted to help, his temper was still the same. "Iceshadow said I should ask you if I could help with repairs."
ReplyDeleteSnowpaw followed his mentor's voice and bounded over, determined to do his best for the sake of the Clan.
Goldenbreeze gave her a shoulder a quick lick before meowing, "Since Goldfeather had passed away, we desperately need a new full medicine cat. We all believe you can pull us through, but of course we need your permission if you would like to be the new OakClan Medicine Cat. So what do you think?"
ReplyDelete--Goldenbreeze
A smile came to Stormfang's face at Firekit's temper. He then looked around the camp clearing and not that many cats were cleaning up dens. "I guess we could use your help, but I don't want you to get hurt doing this. I want you to clean up as much as you can before you can get tired. Okay?"
--Stormfang
Fallenpaw took a deep breath. "I can do it," she said. "I'll travel to the (Moon-place-thing) tonight."
ReplyDelete~Fallenpaw
Iceshadow paced outside the Medicine Cat den, worried thoughts swirling around his head. I wish Goldenbreeze would hurry up! We need to know if Fallenpaw can do this! Trying to get his mind off of things, he ordered a patrol to make sure the rogues left the territory for now. "Blueflower, Crescentpelt, I want you to make sure the rogues are sticking to their word. I want them not even near a single oak tree!" He meowed, hoping that Goldenbreeze wouldn't be made for making up a patrol.
ReplyDelete(Sorry that I haven't posted things lately... School has been annoying. I'll try to make a new post either tomorrow or Monday.)
(Hey guys! :D I just wanted to let you know that for me, school starts on September 4th, so I won't be as active! I'm gonna be a sophomore, so I'm going to get a lot of homework! If I finish my homework early, I will be sure to come on!)
ReplyDeleteGoldenbreeze smiled, "Okay good. I'll send Honeyfrost with you, just in case if there are still rouges in our territory." She left the medicine cat's den, just as Iceshadow assigned a patrol. "Thank you for assigning a patrol," she sighed. She was tired and weary, her pelt wasn't that welly groomed because she has been so busy helping out, and since Cloudstar was injured, she took over the main duties for now. "By the way, Fallenpaw will be our full medicine cat; she accepted. I'm sending Honeyfrost with her just incase if there are still rouges in our territory," she explained to Iceshadow.
--Goldenbreeze
(The 4th is when I start as well. Sophomore, that would be grade 10, yeah? I probably won't be as active either. I'll be a junior [I think that's what I'd be]. Anyways I'll be in grade 11 and I've promised to improve my grades so that'll mean less time online.)
ReplyDelete"I won't get hurt or tired!" Firekit defended himself. Who was he to think that just because he was a kit, he was weak?
(Yeah, sophomore is 10th grade, junior is 11th grade, and senior is 12th grade :P)
ReplyDelete"Okay, okay." Stormfang sighed and padded over to the apprentices den. He beckoned Firekit over, and started to grab twigs that were spread everywhere in the den.
--Stormfang
